What is DTF?
Direct to Film (DTF) is a printing technique where ink is first deposited onto a special film, then heat-transferred directly onto the garment. The result: vibrant colors, fine details, and compatibility with almost all fabric types — cotton, polyester, blends.
Unlike screen printing, DTF does not require a screen for each color, making it ideal for small batches, complex designs, or gradients. It is the ultimate versatile technique.
When to choose DTF?
Complex designs
Gradients, photos, multi-color illustrations — DTF reproduces everything without limits or extra cost.
All fabric types
Cotton, polyester, blends, nylon — heat transfer adheres to almost all fabric types.
Small batches
From 12 pieces, no per-color setup fees. Perfect for testing a design or customizing uniforms.
Unlimited colors
No color maximum in your design. Your artwork is printed in full color at no extra cost.
Before ordering DTF
Slight texture to the touch
DTF leaves a slight raised feel on the fabric, unlike screen printing which integrates into the fibers.
Wash inside out
To maximize durability, wash inside out in cold water and avoid high-heat drying.
Max print area A3
Transfer size is limited to approximately A3 (30 × 40 cm). Larger designs require multiple zones.
Production time
Allow 7 to 10 business days after proof approval. Express options available upon request.
