When to choose embroidery?

Before ordering embroidery

Digitization feeA one-time digitization fee (approximately $50) applies to convert your logo into an embroidery file. The file then belongs to you.
Simple designs requiredEmbroidery is ideal for logos with solid color fills and defined shapes. Photos, gradients, and very fine details cannot be embroidered.
Slightly higher priceEmbroidery is generally slightly more expensive than DTF or screen printing, reflecting the durability and premium finish of the result.
Digitization delayAllow 1 to 2 additional days for digitization if it is your first order with this logo.

FAQ — Embroidery

What is digitization?

Digitization converts your logo into an embroidery stitch file. This work is done once. The file belongs to you and can be reused for all future orders.

Is my logo too complex for embroidery?

Designs with gradients, photos, or very fine lines (less than 1 mm) are difficult to embroider. Share your logo at info@printpress.store and we will tell you if adjustments are needed.

How many colors can I have?

Embroidery can include up to 12 thread colors in a single design. Available colors come from our standard Madeira range.

Does embroidery withstand industrial washing?

Yes. This is one of the main advantages — embroidery withstands industrial washing and high-temperature drying, making it ideal for workwear and uniforms.

Can you embroider on caps and beanies?

Yes, this is actually our top recommendation for these items. Embroidery holds perfectly on curved surfaces and acrylic or wool beanies.

Screen Printing

The proven technique for vibrant colors and exceptional durability at scale.

Screen printing is a printing method that pushes ink through a mesh screen stretched over a frame, directly onto the fabric. Each color requires its own screen. The result is an impression anchored into the garment fibers — durable, vibrant, and natural to the touch.

It is the preferred method for large orders: corporate logos, team uniforms, event apparel. From 50 pieces, screen printing offers the best value for money on the market.

Large production runsThe more you order, the lower the price per piece. Screen printing is unbeatable from 50 pieces and up.

6 colors maximumScreen printing is limited to 6 colors + included underbase. Photos and gradients cannot be reproduced.
Recommended minimum: 50 pcsAlthough the minimum is 12 pieces, screen printing becomes truly advantageous at 50 pieces and up.
Production timeProduction: 7 to 10 business days after payment (in full or 50% deposit) and proof approval.

FAQ — Screen Printing

How many colors can I have in my design?

Screen printing allows up to 6 colors, plus a white underbase if needed (included in the price). For designs with more colors or gradients, we recommend DTF.

Are there setup fees?

Screen fees apply once per design and per color. These fees reduce the advantage of screen printing for very small batches, but are quickly offset at 50+ pieces.

Is screen printing suitable for dark garments?

Yes. We automatically add a white underbase to ensure vibrant colors on dark fabrics. This step is included in the price.

Can I screen print my logo on caps?

For caps and curved items, embroidery is generally more suitable than screen printing. Contact us at info@printpress.store to discuss your project.

Does screen printing hold up to washing?

Yes — this is one of the main advantages of screen printing. The ink integrates into the fibers and withstands hundreds of washes without significant fading.

Printing technique

DTF — Direct to Film

Full-color printing on any fabric, with no setup fees.

Direct to Film (DTF) is a printing technique where ink is first deposited onto a special film, then heat-transferred directly onto the garment. The result: vibrant colors, fine details, and compatibility with almost all fabric types — cotton, polyester, blends.

Unlike screen printing, DTF does not require a screen for each color, making it ideal for small batches, complex designs, or gradients. It is the ultimate versatile technique.

When to choose DTF?

Slight texture to the touchDTF leaves a slight raised feel on the fabric, unlike screen printing which integrates into the fibers.
Wash inside outTo maximize durability, wash inside out in cold water and avoid high-heat drying.
Max print area A3Transfer size is limited to approximately A3 (30 × 40 cm). Larger designs require multiple zones.

FAQ — DTF

How many colors can I use?

Unlimited. DTF prints in full-color CMYK, so gradients, photos, and illustrations are all included at the base price.

How durable is a DTF transfer?

With proper care (inside-out washing, cold water), a DTF transfer lasts 50 to 80 washes without significant color loss.

Can I print on dark garments?

Yes. A white underbase layer is automatically included to ensure vibrant colors on dark fabrics at no extra charge.

Are there setup fees?

No. Unlike screen printing, DTF has no setup fees. Pricing depends only on the design size and the quantity ordered.

What garments can DTF be applied to?

Cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, canvas, and most synthetic fibers. DTF adheres to almost all fabrics, except some special waterproof treatments.
